    Consumer Staples Stocks Are Usually Safe. Here’s Why They’re Getting Crushed.

They are usually pretty safe, but they have recently had a bit of an earnings problem.  The Vanguard Consumer Staples Index Fund (VDC) has dropped 12% since hitting an all-time high April 20.
