The United States is rallying its allies towards pressured labour as it begins employing an import ban on merchandise from China’s Xinjiang region, wherever it claims Beijing is committing genocide of the Uyghur populace. US Customs and Border Security (CPB) on 21 June began implementing the Uighur Forced Labour Avoidance Act, which US President Joe Biden signed into regulation in December.
