Or maybe you’re confident talking with others about otaku culture but you don’t have the platform to share your opinions with others.

If that sounds like you, then keep reading!

A bit about us…

Almost 3 years ago, our founder Alfred created Mipon on his own.

Now, we’re more than 7 people strong. We have been growing a lot in the past months and the growth has already exceeded all our expectations.

In fact, we’re now the world’s leading source of Anime Tourism.

(You can find more information about our story in this video, click on the image to watch it)

You’ll join a team that has collaborated with the biggest anime and manga-related companies such as Kodansha, KADOKAWA, Aniplex, Cygames, and Funimation, just to name a few.

Those collaborations include interviews with:

  • Re: Zero’s author
  • That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’s author
  • Mob Psycho 100’s director
  • Zombie Land Saga’s screenwriter and producer
  • Saori Hayami (Japanese Voice Actor)
  • 86’s author

And many more.

We’re incredibly proud to say that our interviews have been featured and covered in the largest anime news websites such as Anime News Network, Anime Corner, CBR, Crunchyroll (USA, Latam & Brazil) to name just a few.

Joining Mipon will allow you to

  • Opportunity to collaborate on projects directly with people from the Anime & Manga industry (interviews, collaborations, types of projects we haven’t tried yet, etc.)
  • Write about topics related to Anime, Manga, Light Novels, or Videogames.
  • Share with others your passion. We love otaku culture.
  • Potential to share your content with Mipon’s audience
  • Join our meetings to discuss plans and ideas (we love talking, but chatting is also fine!)
  • Help prepare for interviews with people from the anime or manga industry.

What we’re looking for:

  • If you’re applying for the role of Community Manager, Website editor/proofreader, or writer, your native language should be English.
  • Be open-minded and ready to work with people of different nationalities and cultures. Our common language is English, but our team is built on diversity.
  • Any backgrounds are welcome, as long as you have a passion for anime/manga and light novels and the desire to channel it
  • Must have an internet connection that allows you to stream anime and attend remote team meetings.
  • Keep up with current/ongoing anime, manga, and light novel series. Our community is mostly seasonal watchers, so we’d like our team members to be up to date as well. (You don’t need to watch everything, but following at least a few new series is ideal)
  • Motivated to learn new things
  • Willing to be part of a team and committed to the project (this is essential)
  • At least one hour per day that can be dedicated to Mipon

How much can I earn?

Mipon is a project that is constantly growing.

We depend on external financing (advertising). We are currently unable to offer a remunerated payment, but we hope to do so in the future.

More than a staff, we’ll care for you. We are in the bad and the good, you are not just “someone else”, you are a valued friend with remarkable skills.

We are a group of people who love anime, manga, and light novels and share content that they like with the community.

If you like to talk about this great world, we are sure that you will love entering Mipon.

How much work will I have?

This depends on your availability and activity.

You can estimate an average of an hour per day but the schedule is flexible.

Do I need to be based in Japan?

Most of our members are based in Japan but you don’t need to be.

You can be from any place in the world. However, English skills are a must.

Are you recruiting for any other roles?

We are currently looking for the roles mentioned above. If you are interested in anything else, contact us at [email protected]. We might be able to find a way for you to utilize your talents!

I would like to contribute but I don’t have enough time to join Mipon. What else can I do?
